History of the Marion Office Building
The building that Greenwell, Frazer & Peek's Marion office is located has a very long
history. The building is over 100 years old, dating back to when the
town rebuilt it along with several other buildings following the
fire of 1905. Back then it was known as the “Hayward Building” and
when it reopened following the fire, it was known as
“Yandell-Gugenheim Dry Goods.” Since that time, the building has
housed several businesses that have over the years served the town
of Marion. Other businesses that were located within these walls
were: L.H. and Ollie M. James Law Offices, Carnahan’s Dry Goods,
William’s Department Store, and The Style Shop. Greenwell, Frazer & Peek's Marion office
is proud to contribute to the downtown district of Marion. |
